Attorneys who are members in good standing of the Oregon State Bar may apply for admission to practice in the Federal Courts for the District of Oregon. Attorneys licensed in other states may appear in this Court pro hac viceby motion in the specific case. The Oregon Chapter of the Federal Bar Association is the professional organization for litigators who practice in the District of Oregon. The FBA appoints attorney advisors to the Ninth Circuit for three-year terms. More information about the attorney advisor program can be found on the Ninth Circuit website.
Access to the Internet is currently not available to attorneys while in the courthouse. However, we are building a wireless network which will be available to attorneys in the future, and we will announce its availability on this website. Please see Local Rule 83-14 Wireless Communication Devices regarding judicial permission to use the Internet while in the courthouse.
