Your term of jury service is one day or the duration of one trial.  If you report for jury duty and are not selected as a juror, your service is considered complete.  If you report for jury duty and you are selected as a juror, your service starts immediately and you will serve as a juror until the Judge releases you at the end of the trial.  Most trials are completed within one week and are held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.   If a trial is scheduled for an extended period of time, you will receive a notice with more information prior to being selected as a juror.
