Action Required: The District of Oregon Has Transitioned to CM/ECF NextGen

The U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon completed its upgrade to the latest version of Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF), known as "NextGen" on January 21, 2020.

See below to learn what is required for public users to access their CM/ECF NextGen accounts.

Attorneys and self-represented party filers will NOT be able to log in and file with their current CM/ECF user names and passwords after January 21, 2020, until those accounts have been linked to their PACER accounts. To link, the following is required:

  1. Attorneys and self-represented party filers will be required to have individual, upgraded PACER Accounts. Shared accounts may not be used.
  2. Attorneys and and self-represented party filers will need to know their CM/ECF user name and password.

Is your PACER account upgraded?

Not Sure

Check your account status by logging into PACER and checking Account Type under the Manage My Account link at the top right. Legacy accounts will have a link to upgrade.

No

Follow these upgrade instructions.

Proceed to Step 3.

Link your account

Submit an E-Filing Registration Only request via PACER, and the Court will link your accounts for you. See Appendix K of the CM/ECF User Manual for more information.
