How to Create a Pay.gov Account
You are not required to register for a Pay.gov account; however, registering provides the following benefits:
- Stored payment information,
- Ability to copy previously submitted forms, and
- Access to your payment history.

Creating a Pay.gov account is a two-step process:
- Step 1: Connect your account using either ID.me or Login.gov.
- Set up an account with ID.me.
- Set up an account with Login.gov.
- Step 2: Provide your contact information to Pay.gov and select a challenge question for Pay.gov Customer Support.
